Roxanne intends to illumine the people she touches. (def. illumine: 1. Light up; brighten. 2. Enlighten [someone] spiritually or intellectually.)

She sheds the light of Truth upon the stories we tell ourselves; upon the true sources of the tender spots she finds. Sometimes she literally has to use the light within to “work on” an issue that can’t be helped with pressure. While unearthing all of this to facilitate healing, she brings a positive outlook and lightness to her interactions with all people.

Roxanne received her Business Degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2004. Her primary healing medium is Massage Therapy/bodywork. She earned her first certification in Personal Training in 2005, right after college. At that time, she started learning more about Massage. She also met Kellee Maize and started learning more about “girlfriends”, connectedness and community. In 2007 she went to massage school at the Western School of Health and Business in Monroeville, while she was working full time in community activism for the PA League of Young Voters/PA League of Young Voters Education Fund as the Director of Education. In 2010 she went back to school to earn a second degree in Athletic Training.

Although she was pursuing a lifelong goal of working with pro athletes, she realized there was something bigger calling to her. She started her training in the Mind-Body fitness practices in 2011. She fell in love with Pilates and Yoga and Tai Chi, and worked to earn certifications to teach in all of these practices at the same time! She had quickly recognized that there was much overlap between the philosophies as well as significant differences that she felt were all necessary for a complete approach to wellness. Some challenged her with the threat that she would be a “jack of all trades, but a master of none”, but she knew she had a vision of a possibility of such a union with Self through these various mindfulness modalities that perhaps the world was not yet ready for? 

She had the pleasure to learn much from her position at the Verve 360 from working with professional athletes of all kinds, to learning to run programming, to managing morale in a small business, and building her own practice. 

She cut her tenure at the Verve 360 short after only 5 years working there to give her full attention and energy to her now, 4 year old, daughter. For the last year she has been back in FULL effect as both Mom and entrepreneur. She has expanded her Illumine practice to include service in her home town of LA and the general Southern California area once a quarter. This allows her to strengthen the bonds with her family who still live out there, and allows her and her daughter to connect with her other “home town”. 

The Goddess Nest and what it offers have been a small part of a larger vision both she and Kellee have shared for over 20 years (a little longer than they have even known each other)! She is excited to be able to work and build community with some of her favorite people on the planet. For this, she offers high fives to her spirit guides and says, thank you thank you Thank You!
