LaVerne Baker Hotep, is a human potential expert, musician,inspirational speaker, and founder of LaVerne Darnell International, a consultancy specializing in the art and science of Numerology.   With over 30 years of research and practice in Numerology, A member of the UK-based Internationales Numerolgues, in the U.K. LaVerne teaches Numerology at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Lifelong Learning.  She is working on her long awaited book, Numerology for Enlightened Living,which will be available in 2020.  As a family development specialist for Allegheny County Family Support Center, LaVerne works to bolster young families and specializes in social and historical trauma trainings, which she facilitates in Liberia and the Sudan.

She is founder and director of Me 2 Sister Circle, a self-care and enrichment program for mothers.  This popular series helps women identify and manage the general challenges that many young single mothers face and assists them in achieving more balance in their lives through activities and practices to reduce stress and maintain and enhance short andlonger-term health and well-being.

LaVerne is the founder and facilitator of WELLWoman Retreat, which she convenes locally, and soon to be held in Belize, Central America.

LaVerne is a drummer, vocalist, and founding member of the all-female ensemble,Abafazi, and a host of Weekend Edition, on 90.5 WESA, Pittsburgh’s National Public Radio news station.
