Peachie Wimbush- Polk is a proud daughter of the Historic Hill District. Born in the Same year Civil Rights Legislation was signed means she was born into revolutionary times. It continues to inform and fuel her today. U.S. Air Force veteran, fairy godmother, wife, teacher, closet comedian, counselor, straight shooter, life coach, self-sufficiency expert, Mommy to her children, Lala and Cameron, better known to his fans as Wiz Khalifa, and favorite role to date, OG to her grandson, Sebastian and the 25+ grandchildren that she shares with her husband, Richard.

Peachie believes we have a duty to leave the world better than we found it. Service is her superpower. In her 33 year career, she has found that every time she has helped someone get what they needed, the collateral benefit has been that she gets to realize successes and personal fulfillment of her own dreams and desires. In that effort she mentors at-risk young women at Gwen’s Girls, she was the 2016 co-chair of the annual Bartko Foundation Luncheon that benefits single minority mothers.

In 2016, Peachie was one of the recipients of The Three Rivers Youth Nelly leadership Award. She’s most proud of the work she gets to do with DoWork.org to help eradicate poverty through dignified jobs in earthquake ravaged Haiti.
